Ghana’s Digital Skills Revolution for Youth

Training tomorrow’s leaders with coding, cybersecurity, and AI—because our youth are creating the future, not waiting for it.

The digital skills gap in Ghana continues to inspire solutions grounded in community empowerment. This year, President Mahama’s “One Million Coders Programme” launched with an ambitious goal: equip one million Ghanaians over four years with critical skills in coding, cybersecurity, data analytics, and more Complementing this, MTN Ghana Foundation’s Skills Academy now reaches over 10,000 youth through free, world-class training in data analytics and digital marketing.

At Rankdigital Foundation, we are committed to enabling young people across urban and rural Ghana to thrive in the digital economy. Through targeted workshops and hands-on training programs, we aim to bridge the gap left by outdated curricula and limited access, and equip youth with the tools to create, not just consume, tomorrow’s tech solutions. This local movement mirrors global trends emphasizing youth-led digital innovation—placing Ghana at the forefront of Africa’s digital transformation.
